Do Christians show the same leniency to their leaders when they get in trouble as they do to their angry god?

Christians are very lenient about the alleged atrocities carried out or ordered to be carried by their god, huh. I mean, all those horrible bible stories about babies being killed, entire villages being destroyed and even genocide on a global scale, Christians have got a whole list of excuses they use to justify these atrocities. And when their preacher gets caught with a male prostitute or gets caught embezzling money, Christians use excuses to justify the behavior of their preacher. Why is this? Do you think it’s because they have a tribe mentality and they feel the need to defend their tribe no matter what; they feel any criticism of the tribe is criticism of them? Catholics are a great example of this; they defend their evil cult even though it has been publicly demonstrated that the Roman Catholic hierarchy sought to protect itself from bad publicity rather than protect children who were being abused by priests and nuns. But Catholics react to criticism of the Catholic Church as though it is personal criticism, right? This is tribe mentality…
