Forgot to pay speeding ticket?

I goofed up and forgot to pay a speeding ticket. Didn't remember the ticket until this afternoon when I found it digging in my dashboard compartment. Oddly enough the "trial" was this morning. I'm going to head there first thing in the morning and cross my fingers for leniency. Am I in danger of getting my license suspended? It's a minor ticket for < 9 miles over the limit so it's not something like I was drag racing or whatever.
