Would teachers understand the situation?

so i've been suffering from really really bad menstrual migraines and cramps and owe explanation to all 4 of my teachers (all male). if i tell them the entire story instead of acting all embarrassed about it would they understand? because this will happen every month and would they be mad if i say that "i'll try my hardest to keep up to date but i might need extensions/leniency sometimes. i truly apologize" it's bad enough that i gotta tell all my teachers about my period... but when it happens it's SO hard to do anything but lay down and puke :-/. how much should i tell them/will they be mad at me?
