What's AT&T 's policy on leniency regarding phone upgrades?

Mine is the 28th, but I cannot stand my iPhone 3G. yeah yeah yeah the math might not add up, I got it from my uncle a couple months ago. If i've been a faithful customer for 6 years and I ask veryyy nicely, is there any chance that I'll get a new phone sometime this weekend or this Monday?
