Domain name and website HELP?

Where you purchase your domain name from does not matter. You own it once you buy it. There are lots of things you have to do to get it ranked and noticed by Google - read up on SEO for that. The best platform for the site itself depends on what type of service they are offering (ie Magento is good for an online store and very user friendly). You also have to consider a host to host the whole thing on. Magneto actually just launched a program called Magento Go that sounds like it might be right up your alley. They are user friendly, SEO capable and I believe you can even purchase your domain through them, but I would recommend using Go Daddy to buy the domain itself.
